All,

I'm attempting to get the MQ DLQ Handler program working on z/OS, but I'm have a little difficulty w/ the rules table file.
Below is the helpful info I'm getting from the sysout DD.

Code:
CSQU950I CSQUDLQ IBM WebSphere MQ for z/OS V5.3
CSQU200I CSQUDLQ Dead-letter Queue Handler Utility - 2004-11-18 14:31:19
CSQU233E Line 2: syntax error
...2
CSQU236E 1 error(s) in rules table
CSQU202I Dead-letter queue handler ending. Successful actions: 0 retries, 0 forwards, 0 discards

Here is what my rules file looks like:

Code:
INPUTQM('MQS1') INPUTQ('MQS1.DEAD.QUEUE')
REASON(*) ACTION(FWD) FWDQ('MQS1.DEAD.HOLD')

Nothing goes past column 54 in the file. I have tried it w/o the reason(*) statement since all is the default. I can't figure out what syntax is incorrect in line 2.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, in the future I will be attempting this on a Windows box so pointers there would be helpful also.

Thanks,
Offshore

Ok, nevermind...the old lightbulb flickered in my head.

The rules file was allocated as a sequential file, so I created a PDS member to store the rules and it worked fine. (Maybe the documentation said that somewhere and I overlooked it)

Thanks.
