Hello,
I have a peculiar problem with Control Center.
I am on Windows NT and Control center is delivered using Novell delivery.
When I do a 'Ctrl+C' in control center, its closing all together. I am unable to copy any esql code from control center. I can do a paste but not copy.
I tried reinstalling control center, but that didn't solve my problem.
Did any of you face similar problem ?
The control was working fine till couple of days back. And as far as I believe I didn't do anything unusual.
Thanks. _________________ CHF  |

I suspect you are at a low numbered CSD level of the Control Center. You should upgrade to at least CSD4, and really to the latest CSD.
You should also upgrade your config managers and brokers to the latest CSD level. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

As a work-around solution, try the following alternative: - highlight the code you wish to copy (drag the cursor over the text, while keeping the left mouse button depressed),
- right click the highlighted text and select "copy".

I agree that we need to upgrade to latest CSD's. I am using MQSI2.1
and my configmgr and broker are at CSD4. But control center is not upgraded.
But it was working couple of days back. I will try uninstalling and reinstall again.

By double clicking in Novell Delivery application windows or from Start -> Program Files.

You need this efix from IBM.
===========================================================
Modifications for APAR IY38891 30/01/2003
===========================================================
Product
-------
Websphere MQ Integrator for Windows NT and Windows 2000 Version 2.1.0
Files included
--------------
argo.jar
SqlParser.tables
Prerequisite level required
---------------------------
WMQIv2.1.0 for Windows NT and Windows 2000 at PTF level U200186 (CSD04)
Notes
-----
This APAR was raised for the following problem:
PMR 21105,L6Q,000:
The problem experienced is that when a compute node with a large number of
lines of ESQL in WMQI 2.1 CSD04 is attempted to be edited, a javaw.exe
Application error occurs and causes the Control Center to terminate.
=================================================================================
To Apply this fix
-----------------
1) Shut down the Control Center.
2) Take a backup copy of the file being replaced
(i.e.\install_dir\Tool\SqlParser.tables
\install_dir\classes\argo.jar )
3) Put the supplied modified files in the directories indicated below:
- SqlParser.tables has to be put in <install_dir>\Tool sub-directory
- argo.jar has to be put in <install_dir>\classes sub-directory.
4) Start the Control Center.

That's what I was remembering.
I forgot if it was for CSD3 or CSD4, though. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks Lisa and everyone.
I uninstalled completely and installed the control center. It seems working fine.
I guess its good we should have the efix.
Thanks for quick responses. _________________ CHF |

Hmmm .. I thought I was the only one having this problem! My problem is little different.
Sometimes If I open a message flow created by a particular developer, my control center would crash with an error dialog box (javaw - Internal error or unable to reference memory, something like that). But If I ignore the dialog box (move it around) I can still work with the message flow. After I check-in all my message flows (or save workspace) I finally click on "OK" button on the dialog box, which will close (crash) my Control Center.
I observed that If I open the same message flow on the server (using Terminal Services), I don't get any dialog box, my control center would crash immediately.
I have CSD4 installed on all our PCs.
I wonder which editor this developer was using _________________ Kiran
