Is it possible to listen for messages on a queue that exist in a cluster. I have a client program that is running in a app server. This program puts a message on to a cluster queue and then listens for a response on another queue. The problem is that I can only listen to a specific queue on only one queue manager.

Any info would be great.
Thanks

You will have to do some clever work with the reply queue as there potentially could be a number of queues where the message could end up if the reply queue is clustered.

My recommendation would be to have a single reply queue for the application you are using and have a clustered queue alias to it. That way, all the clustered queue managers can see the alias, but ultimately there is only one queue.

There are implications to this approach, but the only other way is to develop some form of infrastructure that can route messages to the reply queue you require - not nice...
