First thing i don't know much about Tivoli.I am looking for guidence like how it is useful for error monitoring?Which support pack or software is used to do that work?

I recently implemented Tivoli to monitor MQ in a lab env and would not recommend it. Tivoli only comes with a small number of "situations" that you can monitor for. ANy situation not included in the Tivoli Monitor must be scripted and this is very time comsuming. We were looking to replace Candle with Tivoli but decided that candle is a much better product. I have never worked with any of the other monitors, ie BMC, Qpasa, etc. but I would imagine they are all far better than tivoli.

| Tivoli needs a lot of infrastructure to get it all working, for a small tactic deployment I would recommend BMC or contact admin. Candle is good but needs it's own server etc. |
