Can someone help me with that command ?
I had an PTF-upgrade for SCSQLINK and was therefore adviced to refresh.
When I submit this command on a running qmgr, I get
CSQ9036E +cpf KEYWORD TYPE PARAMETER 'EARLY' NOT ALLOWED WHEN QUEUE
MANAGER IS ACTIVE
, which is pretty normal.
But when I stop him and then submit on the syslog
+cpf REFRESH QMGR TYPE(EARLY)
I get the following:
CSQ3105E +cpf CSQ3UR00 - UNABLE TO LOAD EARLY PROCESSING PROGRAM
CSQ3EPX. QMGR IS NOT AVAILABLE
IEA794I SVC DUMP HAS CAPTURED: 275
DUMPID=001 REQUESTED BY JOB (BBISS )
DUMP TITLE=QMGR,ABN=5C6-00F30105,U= ,C= .530.SSSC-CS
Q3INI ,M=CSQ3UR00,PSW=077C1000978F1906,ASID=001A
When the qmgr is down and I post +cpf DIS QMGR
, the answer is:
CSQ3106E +cpf CSQ3EC0X - QUEUE MANAGER STOPPED. COMMAND NOT PROCESSED - +cpf DIS QMGR
That's interesting !
Of course IPL would also do the trick |

No, it is in the LNKLIST.
I know, it is recommended by IBM to use LPA instead. |

From my probes ZOS14 MQV531 , if the SCSQLINK are at LINKLIST IPL is the only way to refresh the Early Code , (if i am not in mistake).

Hi,
if you like to use this command the xxx.SCSQLINK and the xxx.SCSQSNLx datasets must be in the LPALST. I have test it myself.

Data sets can be dynamically added to the LPA list which then allows the refresh of the early code.
SETPROG LPA,ADD,MASK=*,DSNAME=xxx.yyy
