Hi,

we have several QM on different machines in our company. I now like to administer them all from my workstation with the MQ-Explorer. But, when i want to add them, i get the errors AMQ4043 and then 4027.

Now my question. I have to quote QueueManager-Name, what is clear and Connection-Name, what is not quite clear to me. I tried IP-Adresses, NetworkNames ... nothing worked.

Can anybody help me with some information, how to establish the connection??

Thanks and regards

Thorsten

Connection name is built this way:
<hostname or IP address>(<port number of listener)

So if you have a queue manager running on 192.168.0.1 and it is listening to port 1414, you can say either "192.168.0.1(1414)" or "192.168.0.1" (since 1414 is the "default" port and will be assumed if no port is specified.

If that same machine has a DNS name or WINS hostname of "SERVER10", then you can also say either "SERVER10(1414)" or "SERVER10".
