How many dead letter queues can be created in a Queue Manager.
Can I create a deadletter queue for every queue mentioned or it is a common queue which will pick up all the messages
You can create as many dead letter queues as you want.
The queue manager will only recognize one at a time, though.
If you are looking for a "dead letter queue" for every queue, then you should look at backout queues and backout retry counts. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
Or perhaps you could consider increasing the MAXDEPTH of you queue's. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial.
Alternatively you can run a dlq handler in background with rules set up per destination queue that would redispatch the messages to wherever you want them to go. With or without DLQ header...
