how do i add a remote queue manager on Solaris to my mqSeries Services window on NT. I created the required listener and started the commandserver and queue manager on it.
I could add it on to my MQSeries Explorer but it is not visible on MQSeries Services.

Need to create a svrconn channel with name "SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN" on solaris with mcauserid('mqm'). This will allow the queue manger to be accesible by your MQ services on NT. Also make sure that your Queue manger is up and running.
When you add your QM to NT Explorer/Services, you need to specify the host name and the port number the listener on Solaris is listening to. Once you supply all this info, it should connect to the QM. If it shows any error message, verify the same.

Cheers.
Kumar

Hi Kumar
Thanks for you response
I have completed all the things which you have mentioned here.
I was asking for the steps involved in MQSeries Services window to add a remote queue manager.
I did not find information for this. if you know let me know.

I am sorry Vanessa. I was thinking of MQSeries Explorer.
I am afraid i am not aware of a way to access Remote QM's using MQSeries Services. I dont think this is could be done. MQ Services is used to monitor/start services only locally. It is a tool for Windows based systems using local resources.

Cheers.
