Hello everyone,
I am trying to test a design with WBI MBv5. The setup is planned as follows
1. 3 brokers are to be setup in a cluster with business message flows deployed on them.
2. User Name Server will be running on a seperate queue manager. This is for Pub/Sub security.
3. Pub/Sub flows will have to be deployed on all the brokers.
I am aware that the there should be individual channels running between UserNameServer and each broker. But to make configuration and administration simpler I am trying to bring the UserNameServer also into the cluster (when User Name Server is made to be part of the cluster there need to be no explicit channels defined for each broker. This would reduce the number of WMQ objects to be defined).
When the UserNameServer queue manager is attempted to be made part of the cluster the broker is not successfully registering with the UserNameServer.
Is it that the User Name Server cannot be made a part of a cluster?
Has anyone come across this kind of situation? Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.
I have never tried to share User Name Server in MQ cluster, but I think a problem will be in MQ environment ( hostname not in DNS and etc. ) _________________ Regards.

This is more likely a question that should be posted in the WMQI forum...
But you should examine the SYSTEM.* Queues in the User Name Server queue manager and make sure that you have shared them in the cluster properly.
Also, you do need to be aware of issues where SYSTEM.BROKER.* queues have the same names when sharing things in a cluster. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
