I have defined a cluster queue on an AIX box. Currently, there is an application that gets messages from this queue and processes them. These messages are in logical order. If we created another instance of this application to get messages from the very same queue, is this possible? I wouldn't think it would be as we are using logical grouping, and if one instance of the app is beginning to process 1 logical group, how would the other instance know not to process that very same group?
Thanks,

Take a look on the group functionallity in the Appl. prog. guide.
If your program is correctly written there should be no problems. MQ should support it (as I remeber it correctly) otherwise it's no good.
