hi all,

I have a question on wmqi. I was making database deletion, updating and insertion for sequence of messsages in queues. I have around 5000 messages in queue . During this process of insertion , deletion the queue depth goes to 0 immediately , the process is taking time to do the updates. Is there any cache or something that is storing these messages and doing these updates. Because I can see once the process starts queue depth goes 0.

can anyone help me with this please..

I believe what you are seeing is normal. The messages are in process on the broker. I have noticed that the broker pulls the messages as soon as they arrive or is started and multithreads the processing.

It depends on how many instance of the messageflows are serving that queue. What is your Open Input Count for that queue? Single thread of message flow will not pickup next message without completing the current UOW.
