I am trying to figure out how to go about getting a handle on the process instance responsible for the UPES message. The XML content of the UPES has an ID tag in it <ActImplCorrelID>, but it doesn't seem to relate to the normal process instance ID that is used by the Java API. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Fred |

In the message is the name of the Process Instance, member _PROCESS. You will need to query the process instances using the name as a filter, that will give you the Process Instance Object _________________ John McDonald

I was wondering what that tag was for. Everytime I had started a process instance, the field only had the simple process name, but now that I have multiples going, the subsequent starts get the name with the encoded suffix. Still wish it was the process id, but I'm sure there's a good reason for it being what it is.
Thanks for the quick response,

Fred:
Your problem seems to be that you want unique names. The information being added is to make the names unique. You can ensure unique names when you create your instances using the KeepName parameter. _________________ John McDonald
