I think this should be obvious and easy but I haven't turned anything up.
I have a bunch of queues in a queue manager on System A, I want the same bunch of queues in a queue manager on System B. What is the most efficient way to create them on System B? I'm familiar with using runmqsc to create objects with a source file but how do I generate that source file from System A's queue manager to apply to System B? I'm far too lazy to type the source file by hand! _________________ Andrew Watson

Hi Andrew,
The magic word is MS03 (aka saveqmgr). Download this SupportPac and run it. It will export the MQ object definitions of a queue manager. Then copy/ ftp the file to the other box and use runmqsc to create the MQ objects on the other queue manager. i.e.
Code: |
runmqsc MyQMgrName < sysA.mqsc > sysA.out |
If you are running on Unix then download MS65 too. It is a nice wrapper for MS03.
Regards,
Roger Lacroix
