Is it possible to have only 1 channel either a Server or a Requestor channel on a Queue Manager ? Then will the 2 way communication be possible or do i need to have a server n requester channel on each queue manager ?

Do i need an Input Queue even if i do not want to receive messages ?

Good morning,

Almost all of the Websphere MQ channels are uni-directional. This means in order to establish bi-directional communications you must create channel pairs on both queue managers. (Sender/Receiver) (Server/Requester) and so on.

Hope this helps.

The really only bi-directional channel in MQ is the Sever Connection Channel.
