I have a set of common sub flows that in V2.1 I stored in a Message Flow Category Folder. When I export any of my flows (in v2.1) which use these common flows when it also exports the 'common' flows with it.
I also exported the common flows seperately.
I first migrated my common flows first into V5 and then did the same with my other flow (the one that also contains the common flow). The problem is it imports the common flows again and places them in the project created.
I want to continue to share these common flows and keep them in their own project. How do I migrate my flows to do this?
I have 100's of flows that use these common flows so I don't want to migrate them into every project.
thanks. |

You could use the mqsifiltermsgflow support pack for 2.1 on the exported flows that contain the subflows - and then migrate the resulting flows.
That is, export everything from 2.1, use the support pack mqsifiltermsgflows command to remove the subflows from the flows that use them, and then migrate the main flows and the subflows separately.
I don't know this will work, though. I believe the mqsifiltermsgflows is in the support pack that deals with "message flow versioning and control" or something like that. I don't remember the number, sorry. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

SupportPac name is IC01. It contains few utility commands that helps you with version controlling your message flows. mqsifiltermsgflows is one of the utility in the supportpac. _________________ Kiran

That works but what a pain. You also have to use the 'locate subflow' option within the toolkit for every place the flows are used on your main flow.
Anyone know of a better solution? This is crazy to have to migrate like this, it will take me all week to get this in sync. |
