Hi, can anyone give me some advice on the best way to deal with stale connections?

If MQSeries is restarted while our Java app is running, a subsequent operation using the connecion we have aleady set up is ending in error - I'm presuming because the connection is now stale.

Is there an effecient way to check this or deal with it? For instance will calling start() again work and be reliable or do I need to code my way round this.

Thanks

Dave

I am thinking you can register an Exception Handler class which is invoked when a JMS exception is raised. I am thinking that this could query the exception and build a new Session object if needed.
