Hello everyone, I have imported to my message set a COBOL copybook which has a field S9(13)V9(02). The CWF format for this field reflects the following.
Physical Type : Extended Decimal
Length Count : 15
Signed : Yes
Sign Orientation : Included Trailing
Byte Alignment : 1 Byte
String Justification : right Justify
Virtual Decimal Point: 2
The above description seems to be perfectly in agreement with a data I Am sending to the parser i.e., X'F1F2F3F4C5'(EBCDIC). The parser failes to parse this field at the very Input Node to my MQSI flow. I Am using MQSI V 2.0.1.
My collegues have been explicitly using X(15) whenever they have a S9(13)V9(02) datatype and writing several lines of code to extract the sign and decimal and sending it to csv files. If anyone knows any information as how to attack this problem without having to write all the code please respond.
I Am unable to accept that the parsing would fail for such a well known legacy datatype. Am I missing or overlooking something. Help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Murali
