Folks,
Does any one have a procedure or program to make configuration changes on the distribution platforms (AIX) from the z/OS platform?
Let me explain what I'm trying to do:
in a WMQ cluster with z/OS and AIX queue managers.
alter the base queue name for an alias queue that is defined both to the z/OS and AIX queue managers.
initiate the process from the z/OS platform using a job scheduler to demand the job in.
the demanded job contains the CSQUTIL commands with the TGTQMGR parameter for all the queue managers.
For qmgrs located on the z/OS platform, this works fine and dandy! But testing with the distributed platforms it does not. I did not expect it to work, but I did notice if a 'SYSTEM.COMMAND.INPUT' queue is defined on the distributed platform and the channel set to convert, the actual CSQUTIL command, i.e. 'DISPLAY QLOCAL(MY.QUEUE) ALL' is received as a message in the 'SYSTEM.COMMAND.INPUT' queue.
Does anyone have a process of 'getting' the message and turning it into a 'runmqsc' command or a MQAI program to execute the command.
