hello

I´m trying to implement a interface i Java to MQSeries. Since I have multiple columns in the messages I have to transfer I was thinking about implementing some kind of hashmap as my datastructure.

Are there any other possibilities or should I carry on? Are there any known standards for datastructures within MQSeries?

Kind Regards

Jack Anderson

You could use any scheme to format the application data (comma seperated, fixed lenth, xml etc.). If the sending and receiving apps are Java apps you could send a serialized java object representing the data structure. In any case the sender and receiver should understand they way you format user data within the message. If you are using JMS you could use the Map Message type to send data in key/value pairs.
