We are in the planning stages of implementing the LDAP Bridge. Since all Staff / Person attributes are not available on LDAP, do you recommend a custom program to input the other attributes, or just use Buildtime? Are there any commercially available products for this purpose? If so, what vendor(s) and costs are associated with these products? We are running MQWF 3.4 on AIX.

If you are planning to use LDAP bridge for staffing, then you are trying to eliminate the use of Buildtime for staffing right. That leaves with only one choice.

The main reason we are using the LDAP Bridge is to minimize the double entry of names, phone numbers, organizations, etc. We plan to run a nightly batch job to bring this information from LDAP to workflow.

It does not make sense to me to add LDAP attirbutes to mark a person absent, supply a substitute UserID, or provide the information found on the Person/Authorization Tab that is strictly MQWorkflow related. The update for some of these fields needs to be more real time that overnight too.
