Does anyone know why MQSeries on Linux occasionally writes files to the /tmp directory? The files are always 0 bytes, and have a name like MQSeries.x where x is some number. It seems like they build up over time, i.e., they aren't ever getting deleted. Anyone know what they are for?

What is the detailed information on the file? Issue an "ls -l" command against the file and see what its attributes are. At a VERY rough guess I would suspect that these may be inter process communication rendezvous points. Let me know what you see as the file attributes and I'll do some more digging.
