Is it possible to configure MQ to trigger Java programs when specific performance events occur? If yes is it any different from the way a "C" executable is triggered?

Sreeni,
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to execute java code; either by specifying 'java yourjavaprog.java' as the APPLICID in your process definition, or - maybe better - by calling a batch script that can first configure your java environment (CLASSPATH and what have you) and then run the program from there. If you're on NT, don't forget to code an EXIT at the end of the batch file.
If you need access to the trigger message (MQTMC) that gets passed to the called program, you'd have to do a bit more. Don't know how that exactly works in Java.
Good luck,
Stefan
