An update has been released for the MH06 Trace Tools SupportPac, bringing new functionality and various enhancements. The main changes from the most recent release are as follows:
Support for IBM MQ 9.2: Updates to identify new constant values have been added to the program mqtrcfrmt, which can now handle traces from IBM MQ 9.2.
Improved Amqsact Formatting: The output of the Application Activity Trace sample, or amqsact, has been better formatted. Better formatting and reporting are now possible for users that run amqsact first and use mqtrcfrmt.jar to process the output.
Multi-line Search Capability: With support for up to three strings with AND or OR criteria, the tool now enables users to search for multiple strings or hex bytes in MQ messages.
Performance Gains: By converting to buffered I/O, the upgrade has reduced processing times for output trace files by more than 50%.
Progress Reporting: Users can now receive a percentage status report on the processing of big trace files by using the newly introduced -b command line argument.
Bug Fixes: A number of bugs have been fixed, including problems with command line arguments and reading recent Windows traces.

The URL in Tim's blog post is out of date.
The current MH06 URL is https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/mh06-ibm-websphere-mq-trace-tools
The page was last updated 25th Aug 2020 to support MQ 9.2 and other enhancements.
Note that MQ 9.2 goes out of support in 2025 and 9.4 is the current latest version of MQ.
Noxijam, did you run the page through an AI paraphrasing tool? It doesn't really add anything to the discussion topic. _________________ Glenn |
