Hi!

I am setting the putTime of a message using

message.setPutTime(someValue); ------> 1

I put this message on the queue and then retrieve it. When I check the putTime of the retrieved message using

Imqstring put_time=retrievedMessage.putTime(); -------->2

the put_time obtained is not the same as the one I assigned during sending (1) .

Can someone explain why is this so.

Also can someone explain how to assign a timestamp to a message and retrive the same.

thanks for the help

I'm guessing that you have the field setup so that it is always set by the qmgr during the actual message put. There is a discussion in the Application Programming Reference about using the MQPMO_SET_ALL_CONTEXT so that you can set a value for this field. I'm not sure how you set this flag in C++.
