Client is planning on shutting down a Data Center. They are moving to a new, fancy one. They are talking of moving a Veritas Clustered MQ configuration to the new data center. They want to move the server of one half of the pair to the new Data Center. The network configuration will be identical. They will fail over to the new DC QMGR and then move the second server in the pair and fail back. This app is critical. If the application goes down. It will make the news!!

They were asking if anyone has done this. Is there anything they should be aware of.

Thanks for your input. Merry Christmas!!!

Hi Bobbee. If the prod migration is critical, you should carefully plan and rehearse it in a lower (identical) environment, to ensure that all of the technical steps are correctly documented, understood, timelined, and all likely issues have contingencies.
