Need steps to configure basic authentication using security policy for the service exposed from AppConnect Enterprise V11 as a webservice. Any user who accesses the service URL (endpoint) in the browser should get the popup asking for the username and password which is configured for basic authentication?

How many other webservices (which are by definition intended to be called by other applications) in other platforms perform this?

(Hint: it's none).

If you want a popup on the client then you need client code. You can't do this from the AppConnect server. Your users will need to include their credentials in the service called, as laid out in the SOAP standards.
