Greetings.
We have MQ v9.0.5. I setup a QM for testing. but couldn't connect to it from MQExplorer. It keep saying access is not permitted. I already disabled chlauth on the qmgr, and restarted the qmgr. What could be preventing the connection? Can any expert provide some insight?
thanks much! _________________ pcelari

Trying to connect as mqm?
Enable security events and see what it's complaining about _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Can just look in the queue manager AMQERR01.LOG to see what it is complaining about.
I expect you have CONNAUTH enabled, since a V9.0.5 queue manager certainly would by default have CONNAUTH on and would be expecting a password from a remote client who was privileged.
The error log will say something about a password was expected but not supplied.
You can set up MQExplorer to supply a user id and password or if you must, you can disable CONNAUTH.
Cheers,
