it seems only where ASTATE value is NONE, we are not getting OBJNAME and OPENOPTS

ASTATE is an indication about whether your application is using Async Consume and has started the connection. If it is ASTATE(NONE) either it is not using Async Consume, or it is but has not yet started the consumer. Since you have no opened queue for get I would assume the former on that connection.

If you see no OPENOPTS and no OBJNAME and you suspect it might be an application doing a put to a queue, there is of course the possibility that it is doing an MQPUT1 in which case there would be no object handle open on the connection for you to see.

Cheers,
Morag

Hi Morag, Thank you for educating me. It makes perfect sense now.
