I need to parse a file from CICS. I modified the file definition -- whatever it is called, a mask? -- to be able to import it as a cobol copybook.
But packed decimals won't parse. They are defined like this:
Code: |
05 SOME_FIELD PIC S9(11)V9(2) USAGE COMP-3.
|
DFDL test gives this error:
Invalid value '0x0000000002E33C' for element 'SOME_FIELD' with binary representation 'packed' : nibble value 'E' is not valid at position '11' for this packed format.
I have tried several combinations of "Packed Sign Codes" with no success.
Any ideas? |

DFDL supports *zoned* decimals which have been transmitted as ASCII. But not packed decimals. That's just too wrong. |
