Hi,
My flow is trying to write a file onto a FTP server. Server is a mainframe system. My flow is able to generate the correct dataset. The data mapping also looks good. The only issue is on mainframe when we view it looks all jumbled as it is generating a VB(Variable Block) dataset of size 256.
My code must generate a dataset of FB(Fixed Block) of length 80. How do I configure this in my code? I am stuck with this for quiet some time.

You don't - you configure it in the DFDL model you're using to write out the message and possibly in the FileOutput node.
(You talk about FTP so I'm taking you at your word rather than assuming one of the more common methods of sending files between distributed & mainframe)
What happens if you write the file to the distributed disc and FTP it manually? This may help isolate where you need to make changes.
Slightly off topic:
That's also a very convenient size for a mainframe file. Are you sure you're not trying to write a member to a PDS? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
