Hi ,
I have migrated IIB from v9 to V10 in Z OS
Initially I have enabled the security in MQ mode and later switched to file mode.
When am trying to create a role through the job BIPCHFA,
000097 BPXBATSL PGM -
000098 /usr/lpp/mqsi/V10R0M0/bin/-
000099 mqsichangefileauth -
000100 MQ01BRK -
000101 -r iibuser1 -p all+
000102 /*
am getting the following the error:
IEC020I 001-5,MQADMINI,BIPCHFA ,SYSTSIN ,JES
IEC020I EROPT IS 'ABE' OR NOT SPECIFIED
IEF142I MQADMINI BIPCHFA - STEP WAS EXECUTED - COND CODE 0012
any idea how to create a role on ZOS when file mode is enabled? |

I didn't even know you could do that in z/OS; I've never used anything other than RACF (or equivalent ESM) for security on MQ or IIB. Also, how do you use:

in a z/OS machine? I know I'm not up to date with the very latest z/OS release, but when did z/OS get a directory structure?
Which version of z/OS, exactly, are you using and how, exactly, has MQ & IIB been installed to it?
Also confirm for me please that when you say "z/OS" you mean z/OS and not z/OS USS nor zLinux. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Ok, that's not z/OS, that's a z/OS subsystem.
BIPCHFA is how you configure z/OS IIB.
I'd do this from a USS command prompt. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
