Hi,
We have IIB 10.0.0.6 that runs on RHEL 7 with MQ QM on the same server.
Recently we are getting errors of "unable to allocate memory", abend files, java heap dumps and FDCs.
After some time, random integration server is being terminated or on some cases even freezes - it is detected by the IIB as started but has no PID.
The IIB does not respond to any command regaurding the frozen integration server. (every time it is different one, different time and different message flow description on the abend file).
The server contains much RAM available (even when the error occurrs) , the ulimit -a command specify high limited parameters for our user that runs the IIB.
Did it happen to anyone here?
any ideas??
Thanks! |

Obviously you are hitting a memory limitation. Is the server using any swap space? (use the 'top' command)

Check the kernel syslog to see if it was killed because Linux was critically low on memory. _________________ Glenn |

Hi,
The server is not using swap at all and there is a lot of free memory to use.
Also it is not mentioned that the kernel killed any processes |

As suggested you need to investigate what is causing the 'unable to allocate memory' error and fix it. Assuming you are able reproduce the issue try monitoring the memory usage (both main and JVM heap) for the Integration server and see what it causing it...may be there is a memory leak or some of the java components are exhausting the allocated JVM heap etc. |

IIB v10 and Fixes have memory issues, you may provide FDCs to IBM via PMR or Case for analysis.
And in the meantime you may look at the Broker System Error/Logs to understand what's the BIPxxxxx message and where it's caused. In the following list of APARs several Memory Leak issues have been fixed. I have been using v10.0.0.10 and it's stable though it was previously throwing memory issues. Try upgrading to 10.0.0.11 or 12.
