Hi,

I wonder if anyone ever encountered this error. I installed WBI Message Broker (CSD01) on an XP box and experience the following problem when attempting to start the Configuration Manager by issuing mqsistart ConfigMgr.

The mqsistart answer tells that the ConfigMgr was started and to check in the event log....

The message in the Windows application event log goes as follow:

(ConfigMgr) Java exception caught via the JNI from the ConfigurationManager.initialize class: exception text 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/ibm/disthub2/spi/StandardServiceImpl'

...

I checked to find where that class might be and found that the StandardServiceImpl class resides in the com.ibm.mqjms.jar file under the com/ibm/disthubmq/spi pakage in the java/lib MQ installation directory. So there is a package name mismatch!!!

I have MQSeries with CSD04 installed.

Does anyone have any clue on how to solve this problem wihout repackaging MQ Java classes?

Thanks

Robert Pelletier

Hi Robert,

you have to install the DistHub package from WBI MB Supplimental CD. Normally it will be installed in C:\Program Files\IBM\DistHub\v2 and you will find dhbcore.jar package in the 'classes' directory.
This package includes expected disthub2 classes for WBIMB.

Hi Bolek,

Thans for the tip it works now.
I had a faulty DistHub installation that did not contained the necessary .jar files. (Don't know why!).

Thanks again

But how do you install this DistHub package.
I got it on the CD, it contains just the setupwin.jar

If i do an install WBI and custom i do not have the option to install
just only the DistHub package.

Oh bloody Java shit all the time !!

Thnx Robert,

We tried that ofcourse, but it appears the setupwin.jar for our release
is not 100 %. Maybe even corrupt.
I did install CSD01, and everthing is fine now, thnx for your help.

I remember having to deinstall it, remove the DistHub directory and registry entries before I was able to reinstall it correctly...

If you attempted to use the Base WBIMB product without CSD01, you may have to uninstall and reinstall.

CSD01 is a required CSD. You can't use WBIMB without it.
