Dear MQers,
An often requested requirement of QLOAD is the ability to unload all of your queues in a single command. This is useful for a variety of reasons from simple Queue Manager back-up to migrating a Queue Manager from one server to another. Well, we are pleased to say that the latest version of QLOAD can do just that and we invite you to download the Beta and try it out.
The actual command couldn't really be simpler..
qload -m QM1 -i* -f*
This will download each non-empty Queue to a file (or set of files) in the current directory. Needless to say you can upload these files to your 'new' Queue Manager and you can probably predict the command..
qload -m QM2 -o* -f*
What could be simpler?
This version also offers one or two more filtering options such as filtering messages from a Transmission Queue or Dead Letter Queue that are targeted for a particular destination. So, for example, you could remove all messages from a Transmission Queue that were heading for a particular Queue Manager.
