Im just starting to take a look at MQFTE my test environment will be MQ 7.5 for this just because I have that installed at the moment and its only to get some familiarity with the product.
From what I have read via the RedBooks I need to install MQ 7 FTE Server Edition, but am I correct in assuming this is now integrated into the install CD for MQ7.5 Server as I notice 4 options for FTE these being Agent, Service, Logger and something else that I can not remember. and once installed in the c:.../../bin directory there are files starting fte*
Looking at the info centre for 7.5 I am struggling to find any detailed documentation on configuring MQFTE, its quiet possible I just have not found the correct pages!
I have started reading the RedBook Administrating MQFTE 7.0 and this is the one that indicates that there is a separate FTE Server software which is what I am thinking is now added into MQ7.5 install cd?
Other than that is there much difference for getting a overview of commands and setting up a simple FTE or can some one point me in direction of any better documentation.
Any help appreciated. |

In MQ v7.5, the managed file transfer feature is called MFT. The agent config and logs are in the mqft directory. The commands are in the MQ bin directory, and have retained the FTE v7.0 legacy names (begin with with fte) for compatilibity. Please use "MFT" when you post, as it will avoid confusion with the old FTE deprecated product. _________________ Glenn |
