Hi All
We have a situation , where SOAP outbound call over SSL is not working for one execution group , while it works for another execution group running in the same broker.
This is only outbound web call trying to use SSL , the response comes over HTTP only (no SSL there) .
It looks like some settings issue on the Execution Groups , but I could not find any difference between them .
Properties I have checked are -
HTTPSConnector
ComIbmJVMManager
HTTPConnector
The error message looks like -
Code: |
<Number>3152</Number><Text>A Web Service request has detected a SOCKET error whilst invoking a web service located at host &1, on port &2, on path &3.</Text><Insert><Type>5</Type><Text>XX.YY.ZZ.com</Text></Insert><Insert><Type>2</Type><Text>14709</Text></Insert><Insert><Type>5</Type><Text>/webservices/WBS-Mma</Text></Insert><SocketException><File>/build/S610_P/src/WebServices/WSLibrary/ImbSocket.cpp</File><Line>1007</Line><Function>ImbSocketJNIManager::handleGeneralJavaException</Function><Type/><Name/><Label/><Catalog>BIPv610</Catalog><Severity>3</Severity><Number>3165</Number><Text>An error occurred whilst performing an SSL socket operation</Text><Insert><Type>5</Type><Text>createSocket</Text></Insert><Insert><Type>5</Type><Text>java.net.SocketException: Unconnected sockets not implemented</Text></Insert></SocketException> |
Since the set-up works fine for another EG , we have ruled out any settings issue at SSL level (for e.g., certificates , passwords , path etc.).
Can anyone suggest any action .

Update to a supported version of the broker.
Seriously.
Mr Google says that "unconnected sockets not implemented" is a problem with the level of java you're using or the certificate. Given that you've ruled out the certificate, this leaves you with the Java level. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

If only you were running a supported version of the product on which you could raise a PMR.
I believe I'm correct in saying you can't get even extended support for v6.1 at time of writing, and if you happen to have it then I congratulate your negotiators. As do (I'm sure) the IBM sales team involved. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
