Hello guys,
I'm trying to setup channel triggering on my local system and I have a few questions. Appreciate any help.
so from what I understand, channel triggering is to start the sender channel when a message arrives in the xmitq instead of starting it manually at the time of mq restart. so, does the channel stay up after it is triggered? or does it go to inactive state after staying idle for sometime and needs to be triggered again when a new msg arrives?

A sender channel definition has a Disconnect Interval (DISCINT). This is the number of seconds a channel can remain idle (ie. not sending messages) before it ends. You can set DISCINT to 0 which says don't ever end because of being idle but that is not recommended. If you set you channel to be triggered then setting a 'reasonable' DISCINT is advisable ie. not really big but not really small either. Personally I think the default of 6000 is a little long.
Cheers,
Paul. _________________ Paul Clarke
