I have the following string value.

<customer><name>john</name><city>sydney</city></customer>

I want to convert the above string represented value into xml and parse it in ESQL.

How to do ?

The Search box (upper right of the scree) will help you find the answer
As will looking in the documentation

I take it that you have not had any training for this product?

How do you think it should be done?

Gosh, if only IBM had thought to include such a useful feature in the product at some time over the last 16 years....

But what to use as a search term? The only things that come up if you use the words "parse" and "xml" are links to the information needed to parse a string into XML.

Clearly that's no use to the OP.....
