Hi All,
I am new in using the WMQHTTP.war file. I would like to make use of this option provided by IBM MQ.
In the official IBM MQ website we found the below point.

6. Configure the WMQHTTP.war Web application on the application server to use the connection factory

Clarification:
1. Does this mean that we can modify/add a new configuration file to map our application server with IBM MQ. We would like to add jboss-web.xml for WMQHTTP broker configuration. This file is required for adding factory reference. Is this usage ok?
2. Does this come under license violation?
3. If this is a violation, is there any other way to handle this? Please suggest

Thanks in advance.
Wilfred.

Way too little information.

a) origin of your MQHTTP War file?
b) is this going to be a server or a client connection
c) which level of MQ?

AFAIK all client connections (transport MQ_CLIENT) are covered by the server's license. But installing into an app server you should really take advantage of the RAR file.

It is WMQHTTP.war which is available in MQSeries\java\lib\http
b) is this going to be a server or a client connection
Server connection
c) which level of MQ?
MQ version 7.5

Just to make this more simple:
This war file (WMQHTTP.war) has few files already. Like web.xml and so on. Can we add jboss-web.xml file in to this to be handled in Jboss server? and add this WMQHTTP.war under deployments folder of Jboss server?
This clarification is only to make sure that we are not violating the IBM MQ license.

Thanks.

As you are going for a "server" connection, you need to have an MQ Server (license) on the same box as your appserver.
Anyways I would suggest that you use JMS and the RAR file instead of HTTP:

Have fun
