When will IBM stop using setmqaut -p on UNIX-based systems? Heard on the grapevine that MQ is going to obsolete -p on Unix-based systems. Have you heard anything about this? -p appears to be still an option for MQ8 Unix.

If so, IBM MQ8 cert exam may be partial to the drink as well. But more likely than not it's probably a faulty question.

It's possible that the -p grants authority to the user's primary group.

It's possible that the -p simply does nothing.

It's possible that the -p works just fine in v8, given the ability to pass in a username/password.

It sounds like an exciting opportunity for experimentation...
