The environment : IIB 9001 on Windows
The setup: We have a repeating line with a fixed part in front and a choice for the second part of the line. We set up a discriminator for the choice.
File input node is set to whole file DFDL onDemand parsing.
The problem: Unable to use large messaging technique for a file.
When we go to attach the DFDL stream to the row.DFDL the flow seems to hang. (It is the last operation shown in the log.)
Small files get parsed by the same setup. Is there some kind of limitation when you use discriminators?
Verified that without choice and discriminator the large message technique works fine with the DFDL parser.
Anybody else tried it that way?
What I am doing wrong? Should I model the file differently? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

So can you try out with changing the property parser to COMPLETE. I was able to parse the message by changing property parser to COMPLETE for MQ Input.
Make sure that your toolkit and integration bus should have the following veresion.
TOOLkit - 9.0.0.1
Integration Bus - 9.0.0.1 |

There is a known defect in the DFDL parser that ships with 9.0.0.1, and it could be triggered by your scenario. I suggest that you open a PMR if you would like to get a fix. If you do, please reference this thread in the PMR so that whoever processes the PMR knows about this conversation. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. I am facing a similar sort of issue with the use of discriminators in IIB 9.
And I can see that it is working in IIB 10.
Was there a fix released for this? |

Are you using v9.0.0.5? If not, that would be the first thing to try. |
