Hi Friends,

we are using IIB 9.0.0.1 in linux OS. our Test broker machine was down for almost 2 years, and now we are trying to bring up the test server and sync it with the production server.
I am able to start Qmanager , Broker and execution groups without any error , but the deployed Message flows are not responding , (not reading message from Queue, not processing files) none of the messages-flows are responding. When I checked through MQ Explorer "open input count" is 0 for the MQ message flows. Not sure weather it is related MQ , broker or any other issue.

the mqsilist & dspmq is showing proper output , but the mqsireportproperties command is not showing any output.

is there any other validation method to verify the health of broker& MQ?

kindly share your advice and knowledge to solve this issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Anil

Are your flows or applications up and running?

HI Ganesh,

Thanks you for your reply, "mqsilist Brokername -e EGname " command shows that message flows are running.

If you are trying to sync it with the production server, have you considered redeploying the flows?

If the flows appear to be running, but don't appear to be reading messages from the right places, have you considered looking for errors after the flows start?

Check the disk space on unix the server
check syslogs
check broker logs (/var/mqsi) and abend files
check unix process for dataflow engine/flows
Check queue manager logs

create a new eg and deploy a new flow and see if that is responding...

Have you eliminated the possibility of a poison message?

I would start with the "df" command. It's a good bet that one or more of your file systems is at 100%. And hopefully you have separate ones for /var/mqsi and /var/mqm.

This IBM IIB bug has caused some of our file handling flows to hang

Now all messages flows working fine and processing messages.
