There are circumstances when the administrator need to sever opened connections to local queues.

logically, I thought it can be accomplished by manually inhibiting GET and PUT in the queue attribute. However, I noticed that while inhibiting GET immediately terminate the application that opened the queue for GET, inhibiting PUT doesn't sever the connection from the PUT application.

Is there a way to forcefully sever such connection?

have you looked at dis conn(*) where (objname eq <queue name>)
and stop conn?
