I am receiving the following error. And I don't see any other error. All the channels are UP and running fine.
AMQ9510: Messages cannot be retrieved from a queue.
EXPLANATION:
The attempt to get messages from queue 'AAAA' on queue manager 'ABC' failed with reason code 2162.
ACTION:
If the reason code indicates a conversion problem, for example
MQRC_SOURCE_CCSID_ERROR, remove the message(s) from the queue. Otherwise, ensure that the required queue is available and operational.
Could you please tell me the possible way to solve this. |

Did you look at the error code 2162 and what it means?

Yes smdavies99, I checked. Queue managers are up and running.
The issue is that messages are getting clogged in the local queue. The application team is unable to retrieve the massages from this local queue.
And I dont see any other error message other than what I had mentioned. |

Did you check with an MQ command or just looking at the running processes?
I would theorise that they've been told to stop (quiesce) and are sending the application a 2162 reason code to make it go away. They won't actually stop until all the applications disconnect. So the processes are running, but the MQ status will show as "Quiescing".

So if the application is simply looping round and round trying to get messages and getting a 2162 without actually stopping then yes, the messages will clog. Stop all the applications or otherwise make all the connections to the queue managers close, and see if they stay running or suddenly stop. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
