Hello,

I m sorry i have to ask a really silly question. I haven't done a lot of MQ developing. Now, I have a .java file, basically java code with all the connection factory settings etc. in windows.

How should i use this to connect/test and send some messgaes across to my queue manager in linux?

Really sorry if this sounds silly but i just needed a jump nudging me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean by that but values like queue manager name, channel name, hostname/IP and port # should be in a Java property file that your Java application reads.

Please do not hardcode values in your in your Java program.

It's odd at best; I wouldn't go to "silly".....

Given that you have all the connection factory settings, set them to your linux queue manager and away you go. You might need SVRCONN, security & queues defined on the linux end if that's not already in place.
