Hi,

We are trying to integrate an application called FormScape with MQ. Connection is successful, but the messageID of the response from FormScape is different to what was set in the request. We are expecting the same messageID in the response. FormScape team says that they are not doing any modification to the header properties. We need the same messageID in the response as messageId or correlationId to achieve the sync communication.

Has anybody done the integration with FormScape before and how can we get the same messageId back in the response?

Please help!!

The typical MQ Request/reply pattern has the incoming message ID copied to the outgoing Correlation ID.

If FormScape is not doing that, then there's probably not a lot you can do. JMS doesn't allow you to modify the outgoing MessageID on any message you send, so if FormScape is using JMS, they won't be able to help you there.

There are some options you can set on an MQ Request message to ask the receiving application to do specific things with the message id or correlation ID. A little digging in the KC should find those for you, and you can experiment to see if FormScape will obey those options (again, with the question of JMS).
