I am trying to recreate damaged local queue by starting it with strmqm -c qmgr name.
There are persistence messages in the queue which needs to be recovered
with replace can I recreate damaged object along with messages. |

No. the -c switch only recreates IBM-supplied SYSTEM. object definitions at qmgr restart. It does not recover messages.
Recovery of messages can be accomplished with rcdmqimg and rcrmqobj supplied programs, but only if you are using linear logs. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

In other words if you are not using linear logging and the queue is damaged, you have lost those msgs. The decision to use circular logging means you are OK with loosing msgs. |
