Hi All
We are using MQSeries version 5.2.1 on Win NT. Although our applications run fine, there always are some errors logged in the
NT Event Log. (have pasted them below) Can anyone please explain why these occur?
Thanks in advance,
Anil.
ERROR TYPE 1
Error on receive from host blrkec11481a (172.25.214.66).
An error occurred receiving data from blrkec11481a (172.25.214.66) over TCP/IP. This may be due to a communications failure.
The return code from the TCP/IP (recv) call was 10054 (X'2746'). Record these values and tell the systems administrator.
ERROR TYPE 2
A configuration error for TCP/IP occurred.
Error in configuration for communications to host QM_blrkec11481a. Allocation of a TCP/IP conversation to host QM_blrkec11481a was not possible.
The configuration error may be one of the following: &N &B 1.If the communications protocol is LU 6.2, it may be that one of the transmission parameters (Mode, or TP Name) is incorrect. Correct the error and try again. The mode name should be the same as the mode defined on host QM_blrkec11481a. The TP name on QM_blrkec11481a should be defined. &N &B 2.If the communications protocol is LU 6.2, it may be that an LU 6.2 session has not been established. Contact your systems administrator. &N &B 3.If the communications protocol is TCP/IP, it may be that the host name specified is incorrect.
Correct the error and try again. &N &B 4.If the communications protocol is TCP/IP, it may be that the host name specified cannot be resolved to a network address. The host name may not be in the nameserver. &P The return code from the TCP/IP (gethostbyname) call was 11001 (X'2AF9'). &P Record the error values and tell the system administrator. |

Search this site for 10054 to get some answers to your first error.
I'm assuming an MQ client application is causing these errors, the first error may be caused by the application not doing an MQCLOSE and the second could be due to an incorrect entry in the means of connection, such as the CHLTAB file. |
