We have mb7 running on unix. Can we migrate to IIB v9 on Linux? Will the migrate commands work to migrate from unix to Linux and version upgrade at the same time? Anyone tried this?

Yes if you are following parallel broker migration.

mqsimigratecomponents will work only if the Sourceversion and TargetVersion are in same computer.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It shouldn't be that hard to pull all those nice scripts out of your source control system and modify them to work with V9 now should it?

You do have build scripts don't you?
