We have MQIPT installed in 2 servers which are load balanced.
We have version V2.0.0.1 current version is V2.0.0.3.
All works fine and has been doing so until recently, in one of the servers, when we display the routes using the GUI interface. Some of the routes appear 'greyed out'. (Its just like when a new route is added to MQIPT, it is 'greyed out' until the refresh is done, then it becomes active). Also 'netstat -an' shows these problem routes listening correctly on the ports. Also the actual config file and its definitions are all fine.
On further investigation it appears that those ports on the greyed out routes a connection cannot be established. The other server shows all routes as correctly active, so we have no immediate problem since routes can be established across the other server, apart from that the greyed out routes cannot be established on the problem server.
We recently tried to 'refresh' the config file, but were unable, command just hung. We then stopped/started the MQIPT, this initially resolved problem, but after a few weeks some routes again appeared 'greyed out' as explained above. What we intend to next try is a re-boot of the server, just in case its some sort of storage/corruption issue.
Just wanted to know if anybody else had experienced similar issues, and what was done to resolve.
Thanks in advance, for any help & support. |

It could be tcp/ip related
use netstat -an and check for the number of connections in TIME_WAIT status... If you have too many of those you may have to kill mqipt and restart it.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

open the config file with an editing tool (wordpad or notepad, or vi on Unix)
Make sure the routes in question are marked as active.
Use the command line to refresh.
Sometimes the GUI tool does not do what you wanted it to. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
